I’ve been given the same advice by our lawyer. Responsibility sits with the dealer @johnclarkmotors as well as @volvocars - which we’ve let them know. It’s a clear breach.
Agree. It's scandalous. They're just fobbing us. My legal advice is that they're breaching consumer protection law.

Suggest you report them to the Motor Ombudsman and Financial Ombudsman, as I've done.

I have reported them to the Motor Ombudsman but hadn’t thought about the financial ombudsman. How can @volvocars@volvoukcars get away with just shrugging their shoulders?! Any other product and you’d be getting a refund or a swap….

Bought #Volvo EX30. A few weeks later - safety recall: risk of battery fire. Instructed not to charge beyond 70%. Car now unusable for us as 70% charge doesn’t give enough milage. Volvo refusing to do anything about it. Awful service @volvocars @VolvoUkCars Anyone got any advice?
