Very humbled and honoured to have received the @Assoc_Anaes Association Award.
It has been a pleasure representing and advocating for resident anaesthetists, particularly during some very trying times.
Massive thanks to @Anaes_Residents and @scotgasdoc#WSM2025

In this fascinating #AnaesthesiaOnAir podcast @ProfMalcolmSim discusses metabolomics and its role in the diagnosis and treatment of sepsis.
Metabolomics can 'pierce the cloud' of uncertainty around sepsis leading to better diagnosis & outcomes.

So proud of the awesome @Jomcpeake22 who gave an incredibly inspiring (and at times amusing) inaugural lecture as @Cambridge_Uni Professor of Nursing. Fond memories of her time at @GRIICUResearch. @THIS_Institute and @HomertonCollege are very lucky to be working with her
WAVERLEY COMES BACK TO LIFE - Engine & Paddles turn for the first time this year!
Waverley’s boilers were lit on Tuesday (2nd April) with steam slowly being raised to full working pressure.
On Wednesday the engine room pumps were operated with the main engine turning today (Thursday) as we test systems and equipment on Waverley ahead of moving to dry dock in the coming week.
This winter has seen some work carried out on the main engine with new parts being fitted. Elsewhere around the ship several contractors are currently working to complete their work scope including the refurbishment works in the crew accommodation.
Waverley is expected to be in dry dock for around 10 days before returning to Glasgow for final preparation ahead of the crew joining in early May. During May the ship will undertake trials before her first passenger sailing on Friday 17th May.
You can book tickets for all sailings up to Sunday 25th August at waverleyexcursions.co.uk or by calling our booking office on 0141 243 2224.
Look out for the South Coast timetable being released shortly.
