Today a student who I haven’t interacted with since spring 2020 stopped by my office to thank me for sending him a note of congratulations by snail mail when we got through that first COVID semester. He’s graduating this year. The little things do make a difference.

This is, apparently, what passes for “health” education in my district’s elementary schools. Note how the “facts about water” are absolutely steeped in #dietculture and #fatphobia (not just the red outlined one). No one needs these “facts”, least of all 5-10 year olds!
