Impact was spending way more money than a T3 tournament, so comparing the viewership to one doesn't make sense (and I'm not sure your claim is correct in the first place).
Impact was an online league in 3 (previously 4) regions, had LAN finals for 8 teams with travel fully covered, and aside from the prize pool, it also paid organizations club incentives to field rosters. We are talking about millions spent.
Why do you think no other TO took over after ESL pulled out?
Yeah, you can hate on "saudi ESL" as much as you want, but they single-handedly carried the women's scene for 3 years.
No other "big TO" has stepped up to fill the gap and there is no signs that they will.
