During a trip to Japan, 24 Prograin retailers and/or guests from Manitoba and Ontario, with five employees, visited long-time customer Takano Foods. These trips help participants see soy’s journey from field to plate.

Although often associated with Japan, tofu actually originated in China more than 2,000 years ago... by accident. 😌 A cook discovered that nigari curdled soy beverage. The result: tofu was born. « Growing smarter » also means producing seeds that help feed the world.
