We're looking for a hacker to bring our fan-translation project to completion.
Our last primary goals:
- to add subtitles for three audio-only sections
- to add subtitles for wingmen's reactions during gameplay
Secondary goal:

Our fan-trans combines the most faithful English script for Ace Combat 3, with the most comprehensive set of extras around. And it's not even close.

Our next update, v0.9b3, is almost done and right on schedule for next month. Thanks to all those who gave their feedback the past 12 months.
Here's a preview of the sign translation for "Clarkson defects!", the only FMV from Disc 2 that had Japanese text.

The UI design department for Techno Drive and Ace Combat 3 went on to work on several other games at Namco until the mid-2010s.
That UI design department had but one artist: Minoru Sashida.

Correction: Aldair Nascimento has BEEN at GR for 40 years actually (since 1989). By 2040 he will have become CEO of GR, when exactly is unspecified.

Our conclusion: this is it. An important moment that we at Project NEMO have been waiting for for many years: by setting AC8 in the year 2029, in Usea no less, Project ACES are right at AC3's doorstep. It'll be hard, or impossible, to ignore many of its central elements.

Lastly, it'll be interesting to see how Project ACES chooses to finally handle the AC3 situation. As fans well know, it was a controversial sequel back in 1999, which made them move away from sci-fi, understandably so.
This moment has been a long time coming.
We'll be watching.
