This week, we will be performing Handel’s marvellous “Dettingen Te Deum” alongside the mighty @TodOrchestra For those not familiar with the piece, this was written to celebrate the British army and allies’ victory over the French at the Battle of Dettingen. 1/4 🧵#Choral #Choir

Leeds' Hercules Project is sorry to learn of the passing of Prof. Karl Galinsky, University of Texas. He opened our 2013 conference in Leeds (pictured) and his 'The Herakles Theme' (1972) was inspirational for all our volumes. A pleasure to work with, he will be greatly missed.

Final rehearsal for tonight's Messiah (our fab Evangelist Michael V Jones singing "Ev'ry Valley"). It's a sell-out, but there may be a few returns available on the door (£14 cash only) due to the weather ☃️❄ See you later!
