I had such high hopes for this one and even though I enjoyed some aspects of it, I felt that the writing was clunky in places and that the author was just forcing the story at times.
It really got me thinking, though.

I spotted a pleonasm in a recent editing project. My client had written ‘heart arrhythmia’, but as arrhythmia refers to the heart anyway it isn’t needed.

My daughter's Y3 teacher is the absolute GOAT. She single-handedly crocheted a mini-me of each kid in her class as an end of year gift. Approx. 8hrs per doll. Even the hairstyles and clothes are spot on. What a legend.

Who knew that reading about chess would be so exciting?! Even though I'd watched the series first, I still found myself rooting for Beth & the description of each chess match was surprisingly riveting!
