Why are Reuters "journalists" so reluctant to cite United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, agreed by the government of Lebanon in 2006:
"Full implementation of the relevant provisions of the Taif Accords, and of resolutions 1559 (2004) and 1680 (2006), that require the disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon, so that, pursuant to the Lebanese cabinet decision of 27 July 2006, there will be no weapons or authority in Lebanon other than that of the Lebanese State".
Rather, we get hundreds of fanciful words from Reuters' big Islamist-supporting guns, Samia Nakhoul, Maya Gebeily, Tom Perry and Laila Bassam -- desperate to blame Israel for expecting the Lebanese government to honor its commitment of twenty years, to disarm an internationally-designated terrorist group operating within its territory. A group committed to the destruction of Israel and the murder of every Jew on Earth.
Here's Reuters:
"The [Lebanese] government must now try to navigate a path between Israel’s insistence on dismantling Hezbollah and Iran’s determination to preserve it as a regional lever."
Israel isn't being unreasonable here. The Lebanese government is REQUIRED to disarm Hezbollah. Full stop.
So, why do Reuters "journalists" refuse to cite United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, agreed by the government of Lebanon in 2006?
Because to do so, would make obvious, not only Lebanon's culpability for the ongoing war, but also Reuters own long-standing institutionalized antisemitic bigotry.
