Kudos to you @PelicansNBA for treating him like the absolute joke that he is. And to the rest of the organizations and players, if yall truly want this toxic discourse out of the game, then start treating the talking heads that bring that discourse….Exactly Like This.

Try making that jump pass running the other way and delivering a cross court bullet. It literally goes against physics.

That’s what Shawn Kemp is saying. “We were on his ass” and “MJ didn’t beat us”. Now, if you disagree, I’d start by watching the entire series and then trying to figure out why Karl had Hersey Hawkins/Wingate/McMillan guarding MJ instead of GP, until they were down 3-0.

We’ve had this convos when you used hold spaces back in 2020 there were some things I was like hmmm they do shape a narrative in some ways and there were covos that I didn’t agree with. I’m not gonna agree that they shut him down. I will say they were his toughest opponent

Go watch that series in full. Come back here and talk to me about it. I’ll wait.
MJ avg 27 I get that you want to give someone they flowers im ok with that but to say they shut down MJ is delusional when MJ only had 2 bad games(Game 4, Game 6)

MJ shot in those finals, what would be by far his career low(both in FG% and ppg) for any full Bulls season(including his rookie year). That’s counting that MJ’s whistle was egregious that entire series & GP didn’t guard him until game 4(Thanks George Karl). MJ was NOT good.

My all time sports conspiracy is LeBron was a military experiment, created in a lab.

He’s repping Bron. He’s been repping Bron. There is a reason he keeps wearing Bron’s Lakers jersey and not anyone else’s Lakers jersey. It’s ok to admit that.
Carlos Alcaraz, the current #1 ranked tennis player in the world is repping the Lakers at the Indian Wells open in California 🔥🔥

This is exactly what I’m talking about. Narrative vs Reality. It’s not right or wrong. It’s what he believes. “How are you going to tell my childhood self that Mike ain’t the 🐐?”. That’s why it’s so easy to have fans think one way or the other. Because for majority of people(and they don’t know this because it’s unconscious response), it’s ALWAYS going to be Feelings over Facts or Numbers. For me, I don’t think Bron is (by far) the Greatest because he’s a great man or father or husband. Or because I think he’s about as down to earth of a Superstar as we ever seen. Those are factors that make really root for him as a fan but not at all why I think he’s far & away the Greatest. The reason why I know Bron is the Greatest, is simply because of his untouchable body of work, the 1 of 1 way he impacted winning on both ends over the amount of time played….his versatility, sustained excellence, availability & pure impact on both ends. Then you add his numbers that absolutely overwhelm any other argument possible. But there is really no reason to “argue” with people like Shump. They are literally letting you know - MY FEELINGS MATTER MORE THAN ANYTHING YOU CAN TELL ME. Now…how those feelings became their reality, is a different conversation altogether and put it like this - that’s why Jordan Brand is untouchable brand in sports. But the ultimate advice - stop arguing with people’s feelings. That’s like trying to outbark your dog. x.com/ClubShayShay/status/20…

Throwback to when LeBron reached embarrassing dad status 😂❤️

Notice, that this isn’t really happening in other major sports like Football, Baseball or Hockey. Ask yourself why. And then ZOOM OUT.
The constant disrespect of legends like Jordan, Bird, Magic, Dr J, Wilt, Isiah, Dominique, Kobe, Duncan and many others, to placate the egos of these existing superstar players is quite frankly disgusting.

In the modern NBA, it’s the other way around. If you’re averaging 30 at below average efficiency, you are on a lottery team.
The most important things about scoring are: 1) The Amount of Points 2) Efficiency People want to say LeBron isn’t as elite as other scorers because he isn’t as good from 12-15 feet? Why would I care if Bron can (and DOES!) get to the hole whenever he wants? A boxer might be more versatile than another, but if the other guy has way more knock out power and wins every time with that power … he’s the better boxer despite being less versatile. A wide receiver may not run a full route tree as well as another receiver, but if he’s always gets open on the routes he does run … he’s the better receiver. Scoring Versatility is sexy. Scoring Efficiency is real. Production and Efficiency outweigh Versatility. It’s not even a convo.

Barkley begging for MJ to give him signed sneakers BEFORE the game? When do we have that in today’s NBA?
Replying to @ProvideContext
everybody has always been friends off the court/field and competitors on the court/field. we just didn’t have 24/7 picture and video of everything, so it’s easy for ppl to lie about it. human beings act human in human situations 😱

Forget about the fact that Bron never went to the team that beat him & won the title(that’s KD). How about the fact in your goofy analogy, that if MJ actually left the Bulls to play for the Pistons, he would have been lucky to even win 2 titles, let alone go for 6.
If Jordan had Lebrons mentality

Kemp shot 55% from the field & 86% FT. Also had 3.3 stocks and was clearly the best player in that series.
Replying to @ProvideContext
No one shot well in that Finals. Him and Longley was the only starters for both teams to shoot over 50% from the field. Even with the bad shooting Bulls still put B-T-A on the Sonics who probably can win any year outside of the matchup of MJ and the Bulls

Don’t shoot over 50% once the entire series while having an absurd whistle. Last 3 games(with hobbled GP on him) was dog water. Was clearly outplayed by Shawn Kemp. MJ shot 41.5%FG and 31.5% from 3 for the series. 83% from the FT line. 4 assists 3 TOs per game. MJ took 34 more FGa & 19 more FTa than Kemp & scored only 24 more points than him in the entire series. If only MJ didn’t go up against George Karl’s dumb ass & didn’t have refs as usual do his bidding.
Replying to @ProvideContext
Game 1: 28 pts on 50% shooting Game 2: 29 pts on 41% shooting Game 3: 36 pts on 48% shooting Game 4: 23 pts on 32% shooting Game 5: 26 pts on 50% shooting Game 6: 22pts on 27% shooting They slowed him down on 2 games but the narrative that they “shut him down” while avg 27

Bron is a better man than me, if someone got on tv in front of millions to talk this way about me for decades? And now this human vomit has the nerve to play victim & act like Bron tried to get him fired?

“MJ was 6-0!!!! Never needed Game 7 in the Finals!!!!”. Here is Shawn Kemp casually letting you know that they shut down MJ in 1996 finals and only lost because Rodman was an absolute demon(and the actual MVP of those finals). 🫡

“Tough 90’s where there were no friends!”. Meanwhile Chuck getting on his knees for MJ BEFORE their game was absolutely normal, as Ahmad Rashad tells you. Chuck never got off his knees for MJ and that era until the present day.

ESPN SportScience telling you that Bron outran Jamal Charles to catch up to Iggy to make The Block is absurd. This was last 2 minutes of GM 7 where Bron should have had no energy left. Let alone be faster that a guy who ran 4.36 in the 40 yard dash.

Watch the speed with which he’s running and jumping in the opposite direction to the pass that he’s making. This is what I mean when I said - he can make every pass anyone else can make, no one can make some of the passes he makes look easy.
