Explanation
The Earth’s interior is divided into three main layers:
Crust – Outermost layer
Mantle – Middle layer
Core – Innermost layer
The core is composed mainly of Iron (Fe) and Nickel (Ni), often referred to as NIFE (Ni = Nickel, Fe = Ferrum/Iron).
Outer Core: Liquid iron and nickel
Inner Core: Solid iron and nickel due to immense pressure
Iron is the dominant element
