This is how I would rate each showcase: - State of Play 4/10 - Summer Game Fest 9/10 - Xbox Showcase 8/10 - Nintendo Direct 6/10 Explanations below: - SOP: Wolverine looked generic, Laufey signifies the death of the God of War franchise and PS forcefully changing their target audience, very few surprises, Until Dawn 2? LMAO, most games we already knew about. ILL and Stuntman Hollywood carried the show. I'm mixed on Kemuri - SGF: retro Cuphead! REVeronica! Stellar Blade sequel! FFVII Reunion! Alien Isolation 2! gen Atlas! TMNT Last Ronin from PLATINUM! Gundam Rogue Orbit! Virtua Fighter Crossroads! - A lot of reveals and genuinely cool surprises. Several had dates and some gameplay. Lots of Asian releases and good looking chicks! Just a couple of blunders: the covered witch fighting patriarchy, Crossfire?, several MMO's - Xbox Showcase: First of all, it's a relief that they are steering the ship and let Xbox live to see another day. Gears of War looks badass! Halo looks cool! I disagree with Fable critics, I think the villain chick is hot! A clockwork Revolution looks very cool! SOD3 looks decent! Metro 2039 looks fantastic! SPYRO!!! CRAZY TAXI!!! P4R!!! P6!!!!!!!!!! Lies of P/Dishonored/Bioshock coded games looked kinda badass (Magicians and Valor Mortis), I like Vivarium, Wo Long 2!! Just some negatives: ending with COD, the shitty mandatory F76, ESO, SOT, MFS commercials, some girlboss cringe like Resonance, ugly-ass female NPCs sprinkled (but not MAIN CHARACTERS unlike PS), kill Hellblade as nobody cares about that, the P6 reveal was cool but very dissastifying, and keeping Halo and Fable multiplats is MAJOR mistake. - These shows usually have a lot of slop like shit indie kid games and old ports. A lot of the Nintendo audience are tourists who THINK they are gamers. Usually the big games are what carry these presentations. Kingdom Hearts 4 was cool to see but similar to P6, was a dissatisfying as it reveal much. I don't care much about Duskbloods or Xenoblade Genesis. Dragon Quest is cool. I can't care less about Splatoon. Star Fox is cool. FF Resonance is AWESOME!!! Zelda Ocarina of TIME IS AWESOME!! FE Fortune's Weaver looks awesome and the chicks are sexualized! The rest are ports and announcements showing that Switch 2 gets some 3rd parties...I don't care about that
