"That is the definition of repentance. This young man (the prodigal son) had explored all of the excitement and the pleasures of the world, and none of it satisfied him. That is the plight of those who are looking for enjoyment but are not able to find fulfillment." -AW Tozer

"I don't think I'm going to heaven as a man. I don't think I'm going to look at Jesus and I don't think He's going to see a man. I think He's going to see the girl that He made." Haley Furst spent years identifying as a man and embracing a transgender identity. But after a coworker faithfully shared the gospel with her, her heart softened to the truth, she put her faith in Christ and surrendered her life to Him. Today, Haley is living as the woman God created her to be and sharing how Jesus redeemed and transformed her life.

"When I worry I go to the mirror and say to myself 'this ...is beyond a solution. It is especially too hard for Jesus Christ to handle.' After I have said that I smile and I am ashamed." -Corrie ten Boom

Interfering in someone else’s argument is as foolish as yanking a dog’s ears. -Proverbs 26:17 This is a good verse to remember next time I am tempted to jump into a social media debate.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: I am in Moneta (near Roanoke), Virginia, to preach the 20th church anniversary of Troy Keaton and the Eastlake Community Church. The service was in a tent on campus, with close to 1,000 attendees. Ten minutes into the service, a sudden, severe weather event pulled the support poles out of the ground and blew the tent off. One of the elders of the church went to be with Jesus, and several others were seriously injured. Please pray for Pastor Troy, Eastlake Church, and this community - that the hope of our risen Savior would be theirs in abundance during this crisis.

"If angels can be envious, they might look upon ransomed sinners and desire to look into the mystery of God's atonement." -AW Tozer

“God has used closed doors to redirect me several times throughout my life. Maybe God frequently uses this method to guide me because I’m more spiritually dense than the average follower. I must confess that I used to get frustrated, even angry when God did this. I would entertain thoughts of God being unfair or holding out on me. But I’ve slowly come to realize that it’s His way of leading me to that which is best.” Excerpt From a.co/d/2SsaSOq

Steven Bartlett, host of the podcast, The Diary of a CEO, released an interview with Christian apologist, John Lennox, this week, and his closing comments to him were fascinating: "One of the most compelling arguments for God that you've presented (and your way of seeing the world and being) is not actually necessarily anything you've written in your books or not not necessarily anything you've said. It is actually you. You have a certain peace and contentment that I rarely see in people that I interview, but I often see, and I've almost always seen, in the Christians that I've interviewed, and this is a interesting phenomenon for me...it seems to be a trend that a lot of the Christian apologists that I've interviewed have that anchoring that so many of us are looking for." What a great witness. Link to interview below
