Update: #pulsechain Self Healing in Action 🏥 Following up on my previous post regarding the increased block times and the suspected gopulse node bug, the network is actively healing itself, and we are already seeing significant improvements in consensus health. Here is what the latest onchain data shows us: 1. Consensus Health is Strong The previous epochs consensus health is sitting at a healthy 91.20%. For context, the network only requires 66.66% participation to successfully achieve finality. The active validator count remains robust at nearly 50,000. 2. Block Times Returning to Normal If you look at the live attestation stream in the screenshot, the gap between blocks has largely returned to the standard 10 seconds, averaging out at about 11 seconds in the last 24 hours. The chain is churning through slots smoothly. 3. "The Sweep" Mechanism at Work You can actually see the network’s resilience playing out in real time on the monitor: - Slot 9405217 was MISSED by an offline validator. - Instead of halting, the network simply moves to the next slot. Slot 9405218 comes in 20 seconds later and acts as a Sweep scooping up an overflow of 2,810 votes (180.4%) to process the pending attestations. The Takeaway: The system is working exactly as designed. The validators who failed to patch or restart their nodes are bleeding their PLS through inactivity penalties, while the healthy nodes continue to sweep up the attestations and keep the chain moving. PulseChain didnt halt, it didnt require centralized intervention, and block times are already stabilizing. Unstoppable code doing what it does best. 🚀
