Come in, your private agent will see you now.
Using components from an old raspberry pi node, a display and a new thermal camera from
@adafruit, it was time for these openclaw agents to see.
They don't have to wait for prompts anymore.
When it sees me and wants to do something, it can ask me on the little screen with buttons. My presence is a continuous system data feed now.
Its first response was, "Most people's assistants know them by their words. I know you by your warmth. Literally."
Most AI systems are:
you type → it responds
This is:
it notices you → it decides → it asks permission
That shift sounds small, but it changes the interaction.
It's open source, runs on a Pi (built on
@openclaw) and uses any decent LLM.
Thermal vision instead of a camera keeps it simple and private.
This is a small step toward something more embodied—less about prompts, more about presence and easily buildable by anyone.
