ALT Region 4-Philadelphia conducted a ballot count today for 297full-time and part-time employees at Whole Foods in Philadelphia, PA to vote on union representation by UFCW Local 1176 Keystone State. Workers voted 130 to 100 for union representation. There were three challenged ballots that won’t be counted, because they aren’t determinative to the outcome of the election. The employer must begin bargaining in good faith with the union. Parties have five business days to file objections to the election. If no objections are filed, the result will be certified.
