PyFR v2.0.0 is a major release with many new and exciting features, including: a Metal backend, more robust shock capturing, in-situ visualisation, turbulence injection, a Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings implementation, and cache blocking for the OpenMP backend.

Cache blocking for the OpenMP backend is based on the work of Akkurt et al. doi.org/10.1016/j.cpc.2021.1… and significantly improves performance of the CPU backend.
