One of these days Iβm going to write up a thread on here about Thrall, cuz thinking about how mishandled and how much theyβve failed to deliver on his character deeply upsets me and is sorta the root of alot thatβs gone wrong with the way the Horde has persisted as a fantasy.
Every time a Haranir calls themselves a guardian of the World Trees I have to bring up...
Nordrassil, Teldrassil, Vordrassil, Shaldrassil which were all destroyed and Amirdrassil (which they didn't help defend).
Haranir was the most fraudwatch race Blizz have ever done.
The people will hate Plat for this, but there is some truth to his words. No successful media franchise ever has gone without some form of substantial restructuring or reset of its status quo.
Do I trust the current writing team to do that?
FUUUUUUUCK NO!
In fact, they'd probably make WoWs situation worse if they were given the keys to any sort of full creative reset on the setting.
HEX Collectibles is releasing another set of high quality Warcraft character statues inspired by their Hearthstone designs, featuring Tyrande, Jaina Proudmore, and Varian Wrynn!

Haranir are especially painful because they're an "everything at once" woefully maximalist kinda blob that does nothing but undermine the lore and fantasy of races that people actually do care about
While I think WoW's world content has taken a *massive* step up over the years, it does feel like World Quests have become kind of redundant to the modern gameplay loop.
Would be nice if Emissaries came back to give a daily incentive for outdoor players to do them more often.
We can make theories, I certainly have. But at this point in the story we probably should have something more concrete about her characterization instead of making her actions and goals MORE opaque. (end)
and Midnight repeatedly makes it clear that she's not following whatever agenda the Void had. We're told she forced the domanaar and Devouring Host into serving her for this battle they had little interest in beforehand. (4)
But then we find out that Xal'atath betrayed Dimensius, then she she usurps him but continues to try and get the Worldsoul. So why does she still want/need it? She's not, as far as we know, a being of pure consumption like Dimensius, (3)
What exactly is her plan and why is she doing it? In TWW we didn't need an explanation because it was self-evident. She's the Harbinger of the Void here to give our Worldsoul to Dimensius and Dimensius wants to eat it because that's just what he does. (2)
