I've been seeing a lot of "just pirate their software, that will show them" when it comes to the @Adobe controversy.
The only thing you're showing Adobe by doing this is that their product is essential to you.
Show them they are replaceable. Switch to something else entirely.

You already pay them to use your tools, and in future they will charge you for using your own work.

Don't expect anything especial or out of ordinary. The aim is to reduce the brush amount to increase focus, while maintaining the versatility to do whatever the goal is.
