The name I wanted to use was taken, so I'm posting under the name of a scripting language that I created. Pretty random, right?

QuadooScript debugging is working! Step Into and Step Over functions are working as expected.

On this day, 10 years ago, development began for the QuadooScript byte-code compiler. Now it's time to start working on interactive debugging support! 😁

Microsoft had an internal technology called DirectUI. It was a custom layout/rendering engine with a markup language that was XML-like with parameterized macros. A web browser that served DirectUI instead of HTML/CSS would have been interesting!

We'd need to make a clean slate modern alternative to HTML, CSS, JS to get rid of all the obsolete nonsense. Not gonna happen. No browser rewrite that needs to support decades of tech debt will fix this.

Nazis wouldn't have allowed america to be 50% white, allowed 52% of jobs since 2007 to go to foreigners or let kids be transed. I'd rather be speaking german even though they never inteded to invade America

I'm glad that we got Doom 95, but I always wished they would have created a MoM 95. I'm not going back to Win 9x now, but my Master of Magic remake is running on a Windows XP VM.

I've never understood why eminent domain is done at "market value". The costs for people to uproot their life is enormous, and it is involuntary. If something is so important that it requires the use eminent domain, the government should be paying 3x market value.

When anyone tries to tell you the United States is a great country, stories like this should be at the top of your list as to why they're wrong.
Sorry, but this is absolutely INSANE. I’ve seen a few of these now. Share this and raise more awareness. Someone needs to help these people.

Codex just saved me three nights of work! I am thoroughly impressed with Codex! My Master of Magic remake project now loads saved game files! I spent three nights writing the serialization code, and Codex needed less than 20 minutes to write the loader!

ChatGPT refused to produce this image due to similarity with the scene from Thor, so I had a human artist draw it. Tell me, @OpenAI, how much will Hollywood now suffer as a result of circumventing ChatGPT's guardrails?
Replying to @OpenAI
@OpenAI At this point, I would gladly pay an additional $20/month to have access to an uncensored, unfettered, unfiltered version of ChatGPT. This could be the most amazing technology ever, but the restrictions are so frustrating that sometimes I want to cancel my subscription.

#ReactOS 0.4.14 and upcoming 0.4.16 have already taken many steps towards Beta. Your contributions greatly speed up the progress.
A group of developers tried rebuilding Windows from scratch. Without Microsoft’s code. 🤯 They called it ReactOS. 🖥️ > Started in 1996 as FreeWin95. > Goal: make Windows free and open source. > Developers argued for years about the design. > Barely wrote any actual code. > Scrapped everything and restarted in 1998. > Renamed the project ReactOS. > Built as a reaction to Microsoft’s monopoly. > Designed to look like Windows XP. > Start menu. Taskbar. File Explorer. > Almost identical to real Windows. > But the real goal was much crazier. > Binary compatibility. > Meaning real Windows .exe files should just run. > No emulators. No virtual machines. > Firefox worked. LibreOffice worked. Adobe Reader worked. > But there was one huge problem. > They couldn’t legally copy Microsoft’s code. > One developer studied Windows behavior. > Another developer rewrote it from scratch. > A process called clean-room engineering. > Extremely slow. Extremely difficult. > Nearly 30 years later… > 300 contributors. > 15 million lines of code. > ReactOS is still in alpha today. Most open-source projects replace apps. ReactOS tried replacing Windows itself. 🔥

BREAKING NEWS: It's time to respectfully retire our UniATA driver. The new ATA driver stack, PNP-aware and x64 compliant, has just been merged into #ReactOS! Many bugs are squashed and we now support more chipsets. Brought to you by disean, after 5 years of work ^^

Heather Heyer died because she was an obese communist who had a bit too strenuous workout that day. The real victim is James Fields, who was set up in an entrapment scheme by the SPLC and the City of Charlottesville and is still being tortured in prison to this day. Pardon him!

Property tax isn't a fee for service. It's a penalty for owning a nicer home. Three houses on the same road. Same fire truck. Same sheriff. Same snowplow. One pays $5,000. One pays $2,500. One pays $1,250. If it were a fee for service, they'd all pay the same. They don't. Because it was never about services. A Bonner County woman's family has owned their property for 116 years. The house never burned down. Most of those decades, no kids in school. But the bill went up every single year. Property tax is a penalty for owning property the market decided is worth more. There is no fairness in that system. Idaho has the revenue to fund services without it. I'm fighting to eliminate it entirely.
