There's an art movement I find under-exploited in movies and video games: Formicat-punk, or Giscard-punk. (Giscard d'Estaing was a French president in the late 1970s) This retro-futuristic, typically French style fascinates me. I'd love to work on a universe like that.

En el archivo de cielos también hay nubes iridiscentes
Cuando digo archivo de cielos me refiero a miles de carpetas con miles de fotos que saqué en los ultimos 15 años

Was really skeptic when this feature was added to C4D but it's a no brainer time saver now. Really good and cool features (also will crash really fast if you're stupid like me moving 50M polys at once)

Also agree 100% with this as a former student and teacher. Had the chance to NOT be punished for missing classes and only come to the interesting stuff which is not the case today. Allowed me to do 80h/week without penalty and it was great *in the right environment*
For 3D students: Most I’ve met simply aren’t doing the hours needed to get into the industry. Studying only 10:00-16:00 every day won’t cut it - particularly since only a portion of the day is spent on actual work.

Ideally, yes. Read correctly: you should eat shit & have a hard life to learn and help corpos make millions ? Sorry but no. With good managements & good planning, it should be possible to have good learning conditions that will produce healthy workers and individuals.

I should be paid a living wage while I'm learning this skill and also have a healthy work/life balance and also get to work on personally fulfilling and enjoyable stuff

With all the respect i have, kindly fuck off. I really mean kindly, no beef here. BUT we need to get rid of this narrative, no artist are waiting here to get spoonfed money, not they act like it. 20 years and we just been asking for fair compensation. Nothing else, nothing more.

Only artists could be offended that you need to work hard to succeed in a competitive field

Who make the success of a film or video game ? Who really make it happen ? From marketing artist doing the promo to people actually making the content: pay doesn't represent our global contribution to those industries, be it movies/shows, games or advertising

Anyone tried this ? I've played with it for less than an hour and was like: it's cool and a step in the right direction but not really useful except for modelling or layout/blocking...
