The Alexa mobile app is still horrible when there is an inconsistent data connection. It no longer pops up alerts, but is instead, incessantly yells at me: sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry, you're sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry, your mobile device. Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry

BTW, I have to reinstall and then uninstall the Alexa app every time I want to use it because when I go into areas with poor mobile data connectivity, the Alexa app blocks use of everything else on my phone with non-stop notifications about having poor connectivity.

Went thru a restaurant drive thru for the first time in a long time. Was required to scan a QR code and read and agree to the terms of service for using their order-taking AI to continue.

This ATM often reports my correctly inserted card is inserted incorrectly and then it freezes up and doesn't return my card for a long enough period of time to cause concern that it ate my card.

The ATM eventually prompts for a PIN and functions normally in spite of saying the card was inserted wrong.
The anxiety injected by the erroneous error message and delay is amplified by knowledge that this ATM has previously stolen my father's card.
Is there a problem here?

A friend recently asked me why I don't post on social media as much anymore. There are many reasons, but to put it simply, it just doesn't bring me joy anymore. I miss the old Twitter. I miss how relevant my 'For You' page was and I miss the safety that came with proper moderation. Before I post, I always ask myself, "Is this something I'm willing to argue about?" The older I get, the less I want to argue with strangers on the internet.

School transportation people say child who is just now walking again after surviving being hit by a truck a few months ago is not eligible for a special close-to-home school bus stop because she doesn't require an assistive device.

She can now walk short distances on level ground without her wheelchair or walker, but will need one if forced to walk to the assigned far away bus stop. And the bus that stops there cannot accommodate the assistive device that will be required for her to get to the bus stop.

As it frustrates with incorrect and unhelpful information, it smashes frustration power boosts by repeatedly lying to me telling me that it cares about customers and understands my frustration.
No bot can care or understand frustration.

I remember a time that I could tap a button on a Kindle Fire device and be in a near instant video chat with a helpful human being.
Now, getting to a person requires I first go multiple rounds being beat up by a shitty battle bot pretending to be a customer service bot.
