To close: I filed my taxes today like many do, b/c I’m a procrastinator & it’s the law. But I also did so w/ gratitude, b/c pitching in together to fund schools, clean water, & other shared solutions to common challenges is the only way we all can thrive—people & states alike.

New OMB memo freezing federal payments is causing massive uncertainty and chaos. Administration claims it will not violate law, but this is clearly unlawful. It may breach contracts and various federal laws, but if it does anything it violates the Impoundment Control Act.

This is an appalling move by Sec. LaRose, who swore an oath as Ohio’s Chief Election Officer to ensure voters with disabilities can access the ballot.
