Anyone who thinks homophobia in sport is “just words” watch this interview. You have no idea what someone else is battling. What courage from Kane Evans! So glad he is here to tell his story 🫶❤️
"I can come here and talk to you and be able to save a life or two." A powerful tell-all interview from Kane Evans. #NRL #9WWOS nine.social/18dp

Didn’t think it was needed but a reminder that diversity makes things better. Footy is for everyone. Stop being cunts.

Jfc the hate for GOW:Laufey is insane. It’s literally just a good looking game. Some people on the bird app need to go touch grass. Fuck I hate the bird app.

There isn’t a push for more women’s voices in sport to just tick some box. Women’s voices are interesting, clever, fun and often present very different viewpoints that’s of service to fans/viewers.

In the history of dumb fuck takes, "queer people don't even like sports" would be up there as one of the fucking dumbest.

We pay tribute to the late, great Neale Daniher. Chris gets to revel in his team beating the Clarks'; Cassie is nervous to get excited about Freo's winning streak; and things take a turn as the gang discuss which mascot they could avoid for 24 hours. linktr.ee/falconfootypod

And on this week's edition of "news that broke after we recorded the episode..." I guess we should wait til Tuesday 8am to record now?
The Essendon board decided over the weekend that if Scott wasn't going to coach in 2027, then it would be best to make the call now. The losses became too much for Scott to keep his job. @7AFL

Words can never truly describe just how large a legacy will be left. Truly a hero by any measure whose message was one of hope and determination. To help those that we can and treasure every moment. Thank you Neale, rest easy. ❤️💙
Neale Daniher has passed away after a long and courageous fight with MND. His family has released the following statement confirming the news: "We’re heartbroken to share that our much-loved husband, Dad and Poppy, Neale Daniher, passed away at home, surrounded by his family. From day one, Neale was a fighter. His determination was unmatched - choosing every day to find opportunity where others might see only challenge, and taking the fight to the Beast with everything he had. Even in the toughest times, he kept pushing forward, determined to land as many blows as he could against his toughest opponent, all with a cheeky grin and a sharp sense of humour that never left him. Long before MND, Neale had always been the heart of our family. Growing up as one of eleven children, he brought light and laughter wherever he went. He loved deeply and was loved just as much in return by his family and friends. Across every part of his life, Neale left his mark. Many knew him as “Coach” or “Reverend” during his time at the Dees, while at the Dons he was respected as a fierce and calculating player, with a brilliant football mind. He was a natural leader, someone people were drawn to and looked up to. But beyond all of that, he was a loving husband, dad, a proud Poppy, a music lover, and the one with the biggest laugh in the room. He was known for his quick wit, his humour, and his ability to bring people together - qualities that defined him far more than any title ever could. We want to thank the incredible community who stood beside Neale and our family throughout this journey. Your support, kindness, and unwavering belief meant more than we could ever put into words. Neale drew great strength from knowing he was never alone, and neither were we. We are so grateful to the incredible carers, nurses, doctors, researchers, and specialists who supported Neale and our family with such dedication and compassion. Thank you. Neale’s fight was never his alone. It became something bigger - something shared - and it touched the lives of many. His wish was simple but powerful - to help create a world where no one has to face this disease. But beyond that he wanted to leave a legacy that says this “No matter the odds, no matter the diagnosis, we all have the power to fight, to smile, and to do. Because the mark of a person isn’t what they say, "it’s what they do”. We will forever remember him for the lasting impact that he has made on us all. He has inspired, he has loved, he has lived and it would only be fitting to finish with his words - Play On." @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

Footy is not “YOUR SPACE” bro. And we are well past putting violence against women down to “boys being boys.” Grow up.
Hot take - But this kind of banter between boys is what the AFL community has being missing. A bit of tongue in cheek shit talking has never hurt anyone. Women need to leave our spaces if they can’t handle boys being boys.

I love Dreamtime. Nothing is better than this.
I don’t care how bad both of these teams are. Dreamtime at the ‘G is one of the best things for the whole season. No exceptions. #Dreamtime #AFLTigersDons

Men joking about beating female content creators to a chorus of laughs. This is beyond abhorrent. And we wonder why women don’t feel safe in sporting spaces.
“i’d beat the fuck out of the besties” there is ZERO situation where comments like these are okay. besties footy exists as a safe space for women to exist within the afl community. comments like these are EXACTLY why we need that. absolutely disgusted.

Ok, a better idea, i want to start a thread recommending #SuperCoach content creators, including links to their profiles and YouTube channel. Please add links to creators you enjoy on YouTube and socials as a comment! Also, please retweet to get this moving to promote them! ❤️
