We vote “NO” the Osmosis Proposal and here is why 👀
1. The asked amount is huge and it will drain the CP
2. ICL is not planning to develop and run the Osmosis DEX - so money will be spend for nothing
3. Osmosis has a great product but in the current state it is not able to compete with top tier DEXes
4. We strongly believe that Cosmos needs its own DEX but not for such price
5. No structured plan for technical side of the migration, the future maintenance and development
In our opinion, this is not the win/win deal for Cosmos Hub and $ATOM holders and we would go with “YES” for Osmosis merge with much lower price and better structured plan, but, unfortunately, with the current state it is “NO”

New drama surrounding Osmosis deal 👀
Osmosis recently came up with a proposal to migrate to Cosmos (forum.cosmos.network/t/propo…), which was initially received with great positivity, since its own DEX for Space is a very important and necessary part for future development.
But in the process of discussing the proposal, a number of unpleasant circumstances came to light👇
• the deal price is $23 million
• conversion of the $OSMO token to $ATOM on very unfavorable terms for $OSMO holders
• the prospects for DEX's future development are unclear, as the Osmosis team is leaving the project
As a validator, we will wait for a more structured proposal to make a final decision, because the Cosmos really needs its own DEX and Osmosis is a great product, but so far this proposal does not look optimal and contains a lot of nuances.

Today we’re proposing something big for the Cosmos ecosystem.
We’re bringing Osmosis directly into the Cosmos Hub.
If approved by governance of both chains, the Osmosis DEX will be migrated natively on the Hub — unifying liquidity, governance, and security under one chain.
This proposal reflects a natural evolution for Cosmos: sovereign experimentation followed by consolidation once infrastructure has matured.
Osmosis has served as the primary liquidity venue of Cosmos since 2021. Now it has the opportunity to become native infrastructure of the Hub itself.
OSMO holders would have the ability to convert to ATOM through a structured migration process, allowing the Cosmos to finally align around a single coordination asset.
Finally, ATOM will have its first true revenue stream and direct exposure to the liquidity engine of Cosmos.
For years the question has been: how does ATOM capture value from ecosystem activity?

Japan planning to work with Cosmos Hub?
The post saying that the Bank of Japan plans to test the use of blockchain in the framework of the Japanese financial system, but what does Cosmos Hub have to do with it?
@0xMagmar spent the past year making working trips to Japan, after which he made small hints that active discussions were underway about using the Cosmos stack to work with banks and other financial institutions in Japan, and, apparently, these trips turned out to be very successful - we will wait for official announcements 👀

• @BitwayOfficial founder @shaneqiu (formerly Side Protocol) hints at the imminent release of the project based on the results of the "is it worth entering the market now" survey - the majority voted "Yes"
• Wells Fargo continues to look for employees who have experience working with the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT, and Fidelity has been added to the list of companies interested in developing Cosmos-based products.
Fidelity is one of the largest funds management companies, ranked among the top 5 in the world in total. They work with both funds and American pensions, currently managing more than $6 trillion, and in total more than $15 trillion passes through the company.
• With the latest Cosmos Hub update, the Token Factory was launched in Space - the platform will allow you to launch your tokens without any restrictions, one of the first tokens will be the updated @StargazeZone token

This has been a great week both in Cosmos and at Cosmos Labs.
It's been a bit of a challenge not being able to talk about everything going on behind the scenes, but as usual the community has done some sleuthing in its endless search for alpha, and the market is starting to realize what's coming.
The ATOM community remains our strongest asset, and when they eventually win (and they will) it won't be because they're lucky.
It'll be because they deserve it.
