I've got an idea kinda like this, sorta like a rental model instead of a subscription. Sorta like Blockbuster with tiered day lengths for new vs older content. I really think it could work. Maybe you could even run a TV channel style streaming service this way. 🤔
If Indie filmmakers used a platform for streaming where you had to pay - let's say - £2.99 to watch the film, knowing that the filmmakers were getting the lion's share of that and it was transparent to them, costs-wise, AND kept them in control of their film, would you support them by paying it or just continue watching them on other platforms where they might get £0.005 per view?
