I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown during our 6th Annual #JCADay of Online Giving. To our alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, friends, and supporters, thank you. Your generosity is more than a donation…
To all the Joliet Catholic Academy alumni, families, and friends who supported our 6th Annual #JCADay of Online Giving — thank you! Your generosity directly impacts student scholarships and helps today’s Angels and Hilltoppers thrive. 🤎🩵 Because of you, JCA continues its mission of Inspiring Growth in Knowledge and Faith — a tradition that’s been alive since 1869. This year’s #JCADay of Online Giving was focused on one thing: participation at every level. And we challenged alumni classes to double their participation and make an even greater impact. Didn’t get a chance to give yesterday? There’s still time to make your impact felt. The JCA fiscal year runs through June 30, 2026, and every gift — no matter the size — helps us reach more students with the life-changing gift of Catholic education. Illinois resident here who will be sending my money to the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program. I’d prefer it to be in Illinois assisting @JCAonline and @DOJCathSchools, but it will go out of state if Illinois leadership fails to opt in.
🚨 An Illinois lawmaker explains how easy it is for states to opt in to @POTUS' school choice program. “What if I told you there is a giant pot of money at our fingertips, and all we have to do to receive it is accept it.” @GovPritzker, put students FIRST and make Illinois the 32nd state to opt in!

Today, the Joliet Catholic Academy community honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. As we gather this Memorial Day, may we pause in gratitude and reflection for those who gave everything in service to our nation. #OnwardJCA

Joliet Catholic - 6 Benet - 1 Rocco Szambelan fired 6 innings of 2-hit baseball, striking out six. Koen Lynes threw a scoreless seventh. A 4-run seventh gave the Hilltoppers breathing room, as they improve to 14-13 on the year (8-5 in ESCC play). JCA has won five in a row.

Attention IL: “Ms. Hochul is only the second Democrat to opt a state in… but she won’t be the last. That she did so in New York suggests that the politics of school choice have shifted and that even union-dominated states can’t ignore the coalition of parents demanding options.”
The teachers unions are among the most politically powerful groups in the country, but in America’s 250th year, parent voices are getting louder. And some Democratic leaders are finally listening, writes @Tommy_USA on.wsj.com/4tnEllW

Let’s go, Illinois!
This is great news, and not only for yeshivos. Great news for all students in NYS, public school and nonpublic school students alike.

Absolutely insane. This should be a crime. Taxpayers will pay for teachers to receive “professional learning” & forfeit a day of learning for students so the CTU can hold their annual protest. Chicago is the most dysfunctional city and school system in the USA.
In an email to members, the Chicago Teachers Union says school will be in session May 1, but the district agreed to: - allow students & staff to participate in a 1 pm Union Park rally - provide buses to the rally - designate future May Days as professional development days

Well said by Bevacqua. I say it often, but one day the ball stops bouncing for every student-athlete. @NotreDame @JCAonline
Here's everything Pete Bevacqua had to say today at the White House. "Quite frankly if we can't agree on regulations with repercussions and we go down the road of a free market enterprise we will be at the point of no return."
