My second Evelyn Bike Parade, and this year I rode my 14" folding bike. Met lots of familiar faces and even managed to complete the Strida puzzle β€” there were two of them, and both made it into the shot!

The Litemala ML-880 gets overloaded on the 27MHz from HF bands when using an 80m long-wire antenna with the Hi-Z input selected in the menu. No overload issues when using the 50Ξ© input.

Out in a quiet village, far from the city, I put two receivers to the test. Litemala ML-880 vs Qodosen DX-286 on the same antenna. 1566kHz, FEBC South Korea.

Really impressed by the bright glow on the northern horizon at midnight. The noctilucent cloud season has begun, and the display was spectacular. It's the kind of beauty you can truly appreciate only far away from civilization. #noctilucent #summer #radio

Spent the day in a very RF-quiet village doing MW/HF comparisons: BELKA vs DX-286 vs ML-880 on an active loop and an 80 m long wire. Logged a few nice catches and finished the night under a stunning dark sky. #radio #hobby #mwdx #swl

Just found my RX antenna featured in an AI-generated brochure. The AI gave it four guy ropes and made the loops perfectly round. Looks like it's already started redesigning my hardware. πŸ˜„ I suppose that's a sign of popularity!

You know you've become properly famous when AI starts putting your antenna in the pictures it generates. πŸ“‘πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜„πŸ€© #lz1aq #ai #grok #chatgpt #radio

Updated my Litemala ML-880 from OEM firmware v1.4 to v1.55 today. Now it covers NOAA frequencies up to 163 MHz, includes synchronous AM with LSB/USB (SAL/SAU), and the menu is much easier to use. Nice upgrade!

Tried to catch Scandinavian Weekend Radio on 11690 kHz this afternoon, but there was no sign of a signal here. Maybe their HF antenna is aimed more towards Central Europe.

Quick BELKA vs ML-880 comparison. Both radios receive very well. Sorry about the video quality β€” everything was filmed one-handed, so definitely not a professional production!

Did a daytime comparison of the BELKA and ML-880 on 7 MHz. Both are excellent receivers, but I personally prefer the BELKA β€” great performance, impressive battery life, and a tiny form factor. Still, many hams are big fans of the NR on the ML-880 and Malachite.

North America is still my rarest DX on 160m. I just found an old QSL from VO2AC in Labrador, Canada β€” a rare CQ Zone 2 contact as well! Twenty years ago, it was possible to hear North American stations right from the city. Those were great days for Top Band DXing.

Fixed the reference oscillator frequency offset on my Litemala ML-880. The local airport NDB is now perfectly centred. Calibration complete! #HamRadio #litemala #ml880 #ndb

Just received a YCCC Hi-Z preamp from RA0SMS. Looking forward to trying it with a short 5–8 m vertical on the MW and HF bands. Should be interesting to see how it performs on receive, especially on the lower frequencies. #mwdx #antenna #yccc #Radio

Box with the K9AY antenna control board from RA0SMS. Hope it will be useful for future SWL experiments! #swl #radio #K9AY #mwdx

22m band comparison: * Qodosen DX-286 * ML-880 NR off * ML-880 NR on Fair play, the ML-880’s NR is seriously impressive… but the DX-286 is an absolute little beast. Tiny radio, big attitude. πŸ“»πŸ˜„

Received Relax FM on 98.1 MHz from about 70 km away while at ground level near the river. FM DX is one of the ML-880’s strongest features β€” excellent sensitivity and very fast RDS decoding. #ml880 #fmdx #dxing
