To me almost every new soulslike falls flat, because it feels like the devs are focusing on the wrong things and that is extremely elaborate, ultra difficulty boss fights. Sure DS1 was sorta difficult, but to me it was more about the exploration. That's where it absolutely shone

This is why I enjoyed what I've played of Mortal Shell 2, the combat doesn't feel like it's trying to be Elden Sekiroborne, areas have personality and the game isn't terrified of inconveniencing you. Stop treating slower pace and tighter level design as archaic concepts.

I remember trying some big hyped-up Dark Souls 3 total conversion mod and basically every single enemy was a miniboss with an inflated health bar and a bunch of over-the-top gazillion damage attacks and just wondering "is this what people want out of these games now" lol

Confounding decision to do a nostalgia bait reunion series and have it be helmed by someone who doesn't understand nor seemingly cares about the show they're doing a sequel for. Also one of the most tonally confused things I've seen in my life. I hope Meicoomon is in hell.

genuinely how has BLS Envoy not had a new artwork yet. why does one of the most iconic monsters ever look like this? i could even tolerate his boring-ass pose if it wasn't for the misshapen helmet melting over his face that just looks like he can't wait to clock out of a 9-to-5.
