I tried 47 strategies before I found one that worked.
Strategy 48 wasn't better than strategy 12. I was just finally ready to follow one.
Every strategy I dropped, I dropped at the same point:
Weeks 1-3 — working, confidence builds, this is the one.
Weeks 4-5 — first losing streak, doubt creeps in.
Week 6 — switch, repeat from week 1.
Every strategy with a real edge has losing streaks. That's not a flaw — it's variance.
I was switching during the exact period an edge is supposed to prove itself.
Before you switch ask: 50 trades taken? Rules followed exactly? Switching because of data — or because of how last week felt?
Most traders never find their edge because they never run one long enough to find out if it has one.
