An important listening session this week with the Seeds of Affinity team, hearing from women on the issues they face when released from prison, including accessing safe accommodation, the difficulties navigating the system and the importance of DV counselling & support.
The @RCDFSV_SA Commissioner @NStottDespoja was privileged to be part of last week’s FVLSAC Sista2Sista event in Whyalla. Such a great experience to observe the empowering and educative session, where the young women were given practical advice in a safe, supported way.
That completes our Public Hearings, which has included 10 Public Hearings before Commissioner @NStottDespoja, with 64 witnesses called over 48 sessions. Public consultation has now closed. We now focus on delivering our report in July. bit.ly/4j3yzkZ
