On June 6, RCMP Federal Policing – Central Region (Ontario) attended the fifth annual “
#OurLondonFamily” event, held in solemn commemoration of the tragic hate-motivated attack that claimed the lives of four members of the Afzaal family.
Attended by C/Supt. Jamie Zettler and other employees from Federal Policing – Central Region, the gathering featured moving remarks from community members. The event was well attended by the local first responder partners; London Police Service, London Fire Department, Middlesex-London Paramedic Service, and the Minister of Public Safety, Gary Anandasangaree.
Together, attendees honoured the memories of Salman, Madiha, Yumnah, and Talat while keeping the survivor, their loved ones, and the broader Muslim community in their thoughts.
Central Region remains deeply committed to disrupting violent extremism, bringing those who seek to harm our communities to justice, and preventing future tragedies.
We stand united against Islamophobia and all forms of hate.
