My 3rd étude is focused on large chords, both soft and louder dynamics; this étude was dedicated to the late Joseph Kalichstein,an extraordinary artist who played the piano with such a wonderfully rich sound.

Etude 2 employs the left hand in the lower region of the piano, while the right hand plucks strings inside the piano w/ a guitar pick. This 2nd & most unusual etude, is also the most non-western in its overall sound, w/ hints of Persian music evoking my own ancestral heritage.
