If there is one thing that Rachel Eveleth and Mary Beth Fowler have learned over and over again, it is to continually look for the lessons. What have we done right, and what did not? Use these lessons to move forward. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

There are times when we receive book donations with special meaning, and this is one. We had the honor this week of sorting and organizing books donated from the estate of Jacqui C. Williams, who was an amazing member of our Albany community. Thank you!
Speaking of #GivingTuesday, we'd like to thank @bncoloniecenter for choosing The RED Bookshelf as the beneficiary of their annual Holiday Book Drive, happening now through Dec. 8.
We've received some of the books donated, and all we can say is THANK YOU!!!!
We are fortunate to live in a very generous community, who think of The RED Bookshelf when they have children's books to share. In this season of giving it is incredibly helpful when donors take a moment to consider what and how they are giving.

It takes all of us, and every one of us can make a difference. Whether you have time, talent, or funding to offer, it is all helpful toward our mission of inspiring children to read. You are needed!
Many thanks to @shreya_s027 for initiating a book collection in her own community for The RED Bookshelf! Because of this young person's initiative, we have 391 more books to prepare for our children and families!

We couldn't be more proud of our very own Batman. For all that he does here at The RED Bookshelf and throughout our community, he was named the United Way of the Greater Capital Region's Philanthropist of the year!
