Pastors trying to do political theory comes in varying forms of unseriousness. Folk "Calvinists" in **Utah** of all places w/out any connection or influence to/with their state's politics are basically at the top of the unserious pyramid.
.@Brian_Sauve opened up the conference talks with a great message.
“…you will not win your war for normal by simple accumulation of the right theoretical knowledge or the right mental model of an ideal political system, or the same for an ideal ecclesiastical structure.
Don’t let knowledge accrual and theory accrual function in your life like world-building functions for a fantasy novelist. An elaborate mental model of the world as you think it ought to be won’t, by itself, do almost anything.
Worse, it can actually keep you from doing anything, because you get so bogged down in an ultimate and hypothetical future ideal state that you become paralyzed in terms of taking the next three steps in front of you—because of course those steps aren’t good enough. After all, they’re all sorts of mixed up with sub-ideal circumstances and realities.
All of this can become like a relief valve for action—where the mere act of thinking and writing and posting and debating is substituted for the meaningful and concrete action itself.”

There seems to be a trajectory of men who depart the #PCAGA general going toward more liberal faith communions who ordain women. Obviously a few exceptions this year. We wish them well!

Every year, several ladies who are either commissioners’ wives or simply attending General Assembly spend time on various knitting and crochet projects while listening to the proceedings. Some of the ladies attending this year graciously shared their projects with us! #OPCGA

Starting a Sunday school series this Lord's day on @jg_machen's Christianity & Liberalism in honor of the 90th Anniversary of the @OrthodoxPC! I noticed my edition is published by @eerdmansbooks.

The #OPCGA turned to Complaint #10 which originally came from within a congregation in the Presbytery of Central Pennsylvania. Very simply, the complainant alleges the Session of said congregation effectively made Christmas Eve a holy day.
