⚽ Premier League Inspires Careers at SCL Stadium ⚽ After weeks of preparation, exploring strengths and skills, CV writing and interview preparation, students from The Wren School attended the Premier League Inspires Careers Event at SCL Stadium where they took part in mock interviews with Microsoft professionals. Alongside the interviews, Microsoft delivered an exciting team challenge where students had to manage a £100,000 football club budget — selecting players and managers while presenting their team, justifying their choices and keeping within budget. Students also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of SCL Stadium and had the chance to see the exciting pitch refurbishment taking place. Students initially described feeling nervous and anxious ahead of the experience, but left feeling empowered and proud after receiving supportive feedback and stepping outside of their comfort zones. After winning the heat stage of the Premier League Inspires Challenge, The Emmbrook School’s idea was brought to life with support from club partner @Macron. The result: a one-of-a-kind warm-up shirt, created by young people to champion confidence and celebrate body positivity. The men’s first team wore the shirts ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Cardiff City FC — turning a student idea into a powerful matchday moment.
