These sales paired with the amount of money we have saved in buying players by utilising the academy and the future sell ons we’ll have for the majority here.
That paired with the constant dismissal of an academy downgrade by ownership. Let’s hope it’s not true. #readingfc
Huang understands that the next PGAAC evaluation will be in July this year and #readingfc will likely lose cat 1 academy status.

Stumbled across a player who we hadn’t heard of in years, Tyrell Ashcroft.
Started 4 league games in the Championship for #ReadingFC before move to Spurs. In the 4 years since, he is yet to play a single minute of senior football. Wonder how he’d be doing if he stayed. Only 21.

Now confirmed that Tyrell Ashcroft will be released by Tottenham this summer.
Could have had a tonne of Football League games under his belt with #ReadingFC by this point but would never begrudge him the move to a Premier League club.
We can confirm the departures of ten players from our Academy following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Under-21s players Pele Arganese-McDermott, Tyrell Ashcroft, Leo Black, Dante Cassanova, Matthew Craig and Calum Logan have left the club.
From our Under-18s, we can confirm the departures of Jamel Beggs, Samal Bangura, Leon Myrtaj and Elijah Upson.

Ritchie second most assists for us last season (6) which helped #ReadingFC win 11 points in League One.
Underwhelming overall but impact was there in limited minutes. Need to bring in quality replacement who’ll contribute throughout the whole season.
