A historic day yesterday with our first mixed-gender ski squad representing the school! The team of four, Seb, Lucas, Digby & Mariette, travelled to @snowcentre Hemel Hempstead to compete in the English Schools Indoor Open Championships & took bronze as the third mixed team overall - a phenomenal achievement for a state school. Mariette achieved 1st place in the U19 Women's Slalom, with a time of 16.66s. Digby competed in both ski & board events, achieving 1st place in the U19 Men's Slalom Boarding & 9th in his age category for Skiing. Seb placed 6th in the U16 Boys Slalom & Lucas had two incredible clean runs in his slalom debut. Huge shoutout to our mighty U14 Hockey squad who headed to Nottingham Hockey Centre yesterday for the National State Schools Festival.  The RGS Blues, pictured with new mascot, Alice the Camel, put on a stellar performance to finish 2nd in the Trophy stage of the tournament.  The RGS Royals, coached by Mr Bibbs, finished 3rd in the Vase.
