Thank you to @RGS_IBG for hosting Monday evening’s lecture in London.A pleasure to share the stage with Yadvinder Malhi, whose work continues to shape our understanding of tropical forests. I spoke about the Congo Basin’s forest ecosystems, their immense value and their role as planetary infrastructure helping secure a viable future for hundreds of millions of Africans. I tried not only to share insights gleaned over 40 years in African rainforests, but also (hopefully) to entertain and engage along the way. Thank you to everyone who joined in person and online!
