“Programmed” solid-state reactivity―Minor variations in molecular or solid-state structures can lead to significant differences in properties. In their recent article in @J_A_C_S, Ma, Hutchins @KM_Hutchins, et al. demonstrate that by using a single molecular precursor and varying the wavelengths of light, they can program the chemical functionality into distinct products.
