Before half term, Year 5 visited the Forest of Dean. Ready with clipboards and wellies, they undertook fieldwork activities from analysing the substrate, to measuring the flow rate and the depth from one side to the other. They finished the day with a splash in the water!

Year7 brought in some incredible models of the Solar System that they had made over half term. These are just a few from Mr Frohlich's class. We were blown away by all the effort, everything from bread and cookies to pom poms and hula hoops! @RedmaidsHigh

Our year8s thoroughly enjoyed making rainbow fizz this week at our junior science club. We had great fun testing different volumes and combinations to make the best rainbow possible in a test tube @RedmaidsHigh

If your child has been talking about “chromosome socks” recently, here they are! This is our year12 biologists revising mitosis with Dr Maudling. The stripey socks are chromosomes and we discussed what happens at each point of the cell division process @RedmaidsHigh
