Agro-Industrialisation Priorities: A total of Shs 2.26 trillion has been allocated to the agro-industrialisation programme in FY 2026/27. This is the highest allocation ever to this programme. Priority interventions include: Agricultural research and innovation, with funding for anti-tick vaccine commercialisation; Irrigation & water for production; Extension services—more extension workers facilitation to reach farmers; Provision of good quality agricultural inputs; Post-harvest handling and storage; Agro-processing and value addition; Quality assurance and certification; and Expanding market access.

#NationalBudget Uganda is strengthening its minerals, oil and gas sector with a Shs 473.51 billion allocation aimed at driving industrial development and economic growth. Key priorities include continued mineral exploration, quantification and certification, capitalisation of the Uganda National Mining Company #UNMC, establishment of mineral markets and buying centres, operationalisation of @EACOP_, and advancement of the oil refinery project. #UCEM

The total budget stands at UGX 84.39 trillion, reflecting Uganda’s commitment to sustained economic transformation and service delivery. Key financing sources include: ✅ Domestic revenues: UGX 45.96T ✅ Domestic borrowing: UGX 11.97T ✅ Domestic Debt refinancing: UGX 13.97T ✅ External budget support: UGX 1.22T ✅ Project financing: UGX 11.27T A structured approach to mobilising resources for national development priorities. #KnowYourBudget26
