Iโ€™m celebrating a fleeting moment of being caught up on grading. As a remote teacher Iโ€™ve spent so much time creating content, itโ€™s hard to keep up on grading and student feedback. Feeling so guilty I dedicated the whole day to getting caught up. Anyone else having this problem?

This is an amazing way to monitor breakout rooms!
I made breakout room choice doors where Ss will "go" to during their work time. We're using Google Meet & I plan to link different Meet links to each ๐Ÿšชso Ss can collaborate, work alone, or get extra help. Honoring differences & personalizing instruction! Feel free to useโฌ‡๏ธ

There are no easy choices or simple decisions about school. Each option comes with pros and cons and an overwhelming guilt that itโ€™s not what we want it to be. Letโ€™s not judge or insist we know the best choice. Instead letโ€™s support each other - weโ€™re all doing the best we can.

My friend, David Geurin, wrote an amazing book called Future Driven. I reviewed this book when it was released! Itโ€™s a phenomenal read. Being a Michigander, I know a great โ€œhive fiveโ€ when I see one, and this is a stupendous opportunity!
Things have been especially challenging for educators lately. ๐Ÿ˜ข So Iโ€™m giving away 20 signed copies of #FutureDriven in โ€œPD Packsโ€ of 5, so you can share copies with friends.๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐ŸŽ‰ And maybe start a (virtual) book club?๐Ÿ’ป Retweet to enter by July 21st.โฐ #PDpack๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ–#HighFive

I'm at the ortho and you'd never know they was a pandemic going on in downtown Naperville. Streets are full, tent with wine tasting...nobody wearing masks. Tons of teenagers just hanging out. No social distancing. I'm so upset right now- at how completely ignorant people are. ๐Ÿ˜–
Excited and sad at the same time to give out these end-of-year goodies to my students. Missing seeing them and last day traditions!

Turn your @PlayOsmo into a doc camera! Great for live chats and a way to record videos while modeling or using manipulatives! Great find @laurameehan04 @Roslyn220
So I tried out LIVE teaching today with my littles. They did great. Thank you @PlayOsmo for the projector app. It made lessons so easy to demo. Thank you @zoom_us for video conferencing. @NISDCarnahan @TammyQuamme @john_w_moran @Sosa06Andi @SOhAndaloro @ccastillo1st

elearning days are like working at Google - both my kids and I are feverishly typing at our laptops but then breaking for ping pong or trampolining. I found myself putting on make-up this morning just so I could send my students a video-lol! #D181 #edtechusf

My students love listening to Playaways or books on Axis 360. I always questioned whether it was good practice, but now I know that listening engages them, helps them to develop their understanding of complex story plots, vocabulary, and to simply love reading. #edtechusf677

I am relieved to know that there is research out there to support audio books and listening. I suppose it is the cost that prevents schools from encouraging it more. However with the access to technology that we have today, there's no reason to not embrace it. #edtechusf677
