Perfectionism isn’t just a personal struggle—it’s a growing public health concern. New research suggests today’s college students are more perfectionistic than ever. Findings also point to cultural and economic factors shaping mental health. Learn more: at.apa.org/2066e9

3 in 4 teachers say AI will reshape education more than the internet ever did. 54% say it's already eroding critical thinking. Only 1 in 3 schools has formal guidelines. That gap is where accountability lives. #AIinEducation #EdPolicy #CriticalThinking npr.org/2026/06/05/nx-s1-577…

Last night, a proud introvert stepped before 200 strangers and shared her “hot mess.” It was eye-opening and unexpectedly cathartic. More #communicators should answer the call from @StoryDistrict and step outside the familiar. #LiveStorytelling #DCEvents

Attended a sobering AI ethics discussion via Senate @Chaplain_Black. A grieving mom-activist lost her teen son to suicide after bonding with an AI companion & isolating from family. We are called to a higher calculus: Children are not experiments. #MentalHealthAwarenes #AIethics

A group of UC Berkeley students did a 9-week digital detox… and the results were striking. Cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Sahar Yousef (UC Berkeley Haas) found that participants experienced less anxiety, less depression, and more mindfulness. Some students said they suddenly started noticing all the positive things in their real life once the constant scrolling stopped. Dr. Yousef also raised a concern, noting that heavy daily tech habits may be linked to brain changes: “We’re actually seeing brain atrophy… degradation of certain brain areas related to self-awareness [and] cognitive control.” (Note: This is an emerging area of research — more long-term studies are needed.) This feels very relatable. The longer I step away from endless scrolling, the clearer and calmer my mind seems to get. Our digital habits have become so automatic that we rarely stop to consider their impact on mental health and focus. Have you ever tried even a short digital detox? What difference (if any) did you notice?

New year, New focus! I'm leaning into consensus-driven leadership - bridging (and pacing) perspectives across teams - to remain unified in an often fragmented function. When we align, we amplify. #communications #marketing @RaganComms ragan.com/internal-comms-dat…
