The day before I was meant to head back to Plymouth for the week with lots of lovely plans to see friends and family and BAM covid decides to make different plans for me 🤒😞 also fully vaccinated and still feel like I’ve been hit by a bus!

We don’t even know where to start with this…our Prime Minister not wearing a mask in an NHS hospital. While elsewhere in the same hospital no doubt people lay sick and dying from COVID 19 as staff held their hands.
Is this sheer arrogance or just plain contempt for NHS staff?

On my morning 30 minute break today I got interrupted 6 times by nurses, HCAs and a doctor. I don’t get paid for those 30 minutes so can I at least refuel in peace? Unless of course it’s urgent or an emergency. But if it’s not… really?

Not sure what kind of country or society Tories are aiming for, but one in which the wealthy few strut about having beaten the poor, the vulnerable, the immigrant, the asylum-seeker, the farmer, the fisherman or indeed any of its citizens isn’t one that’s worth that much.

We have the highest number of Covid cases in the world. We have food shortages which are getting worse. We don’t even have enough chemicals (due to Brexit) to treat our own sewage. They’re making the poorest workers in society pay for our social care, where the rich pay nothing.

The wealth of UK billionaires is up by £106,500,000,000 in the pandemic.
But instead of making them pay more, the Tories are raising National Insurance, hitting low paid & young workers the hardest.
Social care should be funded with a wealth tax, not a tax on the working class.

Please don't throw a one-off pot of money at the NHS.
We are exhausted. No amount of money can buy overtime from a workforce that is dead on its feet.
We need a long-term sustained investment that gives us money to buy, train, and care for new team members.
