Dispensing opinion subjectively and at will. Still yearning for that road to Woodstock. In the meantime happy to be a wayfarer between Sydney London and Milan.
Bad enough that we have to fret about extortionist parking meters expiring, or range anxiety with our EV’s, we now have to invest in a decent stop watch when dining out in Sydney. This 2 hr seating caper is total BS. Don’t worry about slow food, a slow dining movement anyone?
Long ago Jacksons on George was best known for a wild friday night out after work, now its matured into a Maurizio Terzini inspired bistro in the Sydney CBD. White table cloths and waiters dressed in white coats, why i could even be back in Milano! And the food…..Bravo Maurizio!
Arrived in the mail yday. Look forward to getting stuck in over the summer while in Oz. Only appropriate that a chronicle of this quality is authored by someone born and bred in Adamstown, one of the cradles of Australian football. Thanks to @bonitamersiades also in order
Another artist whose music was synonymous with my generation leaves us. The summer of ‘74 was defined by this hit. A simpler time with few inhibitions and a world of discovery in front of us. RIP Jimmy Buffett.

@dkfcdotnet @MicallefPhilip @GuidoTresoldi @StephenCena @c_verdicchio Italian mag, Sportweek have done a best of Premier League and best of Serie A. Who wins in a head to head? (Ps Phil no room for Rivera?!?)
Depending on where you find yourself, Ferragosto can be a chaotic time in Italy, but there’s fewer prettier sights than the hot, late afternoon sun glistening over the azure waters of the Bay of Trieste.
Key to what happens post this extraordinary tournament is ensuring our political class, of all colours, see the unprecedented public reaction NOT through the lens of a major event, but as the declaration of football to be in pole position for ongoing & significant govt support.
Another musical impresario leaves us, too soon after the loss of Rodriguez. So many of my heroes slowly departing the stage for the last time. Very sad. RIP Robbie.

The world loses another musical genius in Sixto Díaz Rodríguez (Ridriguez). If you haven’t seen the film “Searching for Sugarman” do yourself a favour and marvel at how humility and genius can co-exist. RIP

Congrats to the ‘tillies! From afar you are an absolute joy to watch. Still more to do of course but i am bursting with pride at what you are doing for the beautiful game down under. And to Tony G well bloody done my friend and keep on confounding the critics!
Chappeau Tony G. He has played the tournament thus far minus his best player and captain- arguably the best player in the world-yet the Matildas have finished top of their group. And he copped the rubbish thrown at him in the last few days post the loss to Nigeria with dignity.
Sad to hear of the passing of Peter Gray. I served on various cttees with Peter including the board of the NSW Soccer Federation which he chaired. A great person with a deep & genuine love for the game he dedicated most of his life to both as a player and then administrator. RIP.
Founding member of one of my fave bands and author of one of my (teenage) generations mandatory “making out” songs. A remarkable muso with a most unique voice. RIP.
