Social media – just like our partnerships, conferences, events and networks that span the globe – connects us with the wonderful worldwide chemical sciences community.
As a community, we care about protecting our natural environment, about tackling discrimination to build a truly inclusive world, and about making cutting-edge chemistry accessible wherever it’s needed for the good of society.
We have connected with our community on Twitter – now X – for 15 years, sharing our passion for the power of chemistry to change the world – and to make it more open, more green and more equal.
But, as it becomes increasingly difficult to have constructive, evidence-based and respectful conversations on these topics we care deeply about, our community is leaving this platform. And consequently, so are we.
From now on, we will not post on any of our Royal Society of Chemistry X accounts.
Have you seen the fantastic line up at the 26th #LakelandSymposium (Grasmere)?
@Asynt are proud to be exhibiting their latest product portfolio at the @RSC_HSG’s flagship meeting.
See you there. (I’ll be the one in the corner munching on gingerbread!)

It’s been a busy week for the school as we’ve hosted not one but two major conferences. First was the @RoySocChem 60th anniversary Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry meeting. Second was a fabulous memorial conference to our late colleague Prof Brendan Howlin.
It was an honour to host the @RoySocChem Thermal Analysis Group’s 60th Anniversary Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (TAC) Conference this week. Well done and congratulations to our own Milan Antonijevic for all the organisation
A memorial conference to celebrate the life of Prof Brendan Howlin who sadly passed away last summer. We were delighted to welcome back many of Brendan’s past students and collaborators. A fantastic afternoon of science and memories! Thank you to @dancommandeur for organising
Registration for our flagship Lakeland Symposium in Grasmere is very much live! Please sign up here if you love synthesis 💃🧪

A great day at the 38th @RSC_HSG postgraduate symposium in Edinburgh (@EdinburghChem)!
Group members Tom and @TimHilton98 were in attendance. Tom presented a poster on his work, while Tim presented a prize winning talk!
Congratulations to Darren Dixon @dixon_group@OxfordChemistry, who is the 2024 recipient of the RSC HSG's Charles Rees Award. This commemorates his work on "innovative and creative work on structurally complex heterocyclic alkaloid natural product synthesis"!
