After wrapping up 85 consecutive World Championship races, the 8 Hours of Bahrain has marked the final run in the driving career of a Racing Legend: our mega driver and Team Principal ➡️
#ChristianRied!
With the evolution of new programs in Hypercar, GTP and LMGT3, coupled with the end of the beloved GTE era, Christian has decided to shift gears. At 44 he transitions seamlessly into the full time role of Team Principal alongside his brother Michael.
His racing journey began in 1996 and his legacy includes 13 class victories, a triumphant moment at Le Mans 2018 and 52 consecutive ELMS races, conquering championships in 2020 and 2022. With 28 race wins in GT2/GTE Porsches and two Asian Le Mans Series victories in GT3, his track record shows how phenomenal of a driver he has been.
As we applaud Christian’s remarkable career, his focus now turns to his role as a mentor for his sons entering the same sport.
Thank you Christian for the indelebile mark you’ve left on track!
