Rootstown's hustle really stood out in the final minutes. Waterloo came back hard. Moved the ball as well as it had all game in a frenetic rally. But Carson Hayn with some big drives and Luke Flowers with some huge boards down the stretch.

Congratulations to each of our youth teams that capped off successful seasons with championship game appearances yesterday. Both of our 5th Grade teams won championships and our 3rd Grade team was Gold bracket runner-ups. Our 6th Graders also advanced to the semifinals.

The environment tonight brought me back. There's not nearly as many nights like this as we used to have in Portage County. Tonight was special. There's nothing quite like a packed gym on a winter night.

My Friday Night Office was in Rootstown!
The Rovers hosted Southeast in a boys basketball game that was as thrilling as I have seen this year.
The game had just about everything you could think of, including a large and loud crowd that Portage County needs more of!
