GLIAC ACADEMIC HONORS
Congratulations to these 15 baseball student-athletes who earned GLIAC academic honors with their work in the classroom this past academic year.
The baseball squad featured 4 Academic Excellence members and 11 All GLIAC members.

The GLIAC splits its honors into two categories with those holding a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 honored as Academic All-GLIAC honorees. Those student-athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are named to the GLIAC’s Academic Excellence team.

After a year of waiting... The award has finally come in! Congratulations again to 2024 alum Bryce Hayman who secured a collegiate Rawlings Gold Glove. Hayman did not make a single error in CF during the entire 2024 season.

DALLAS – Roosevelt senior outfielder James Berry was voted a first-team All-Midwest Region performer by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, the organization announced Friday.

In the conference tournament, he went 5 for 8 at the plate with two runs scored, including a 4 for 5 outing against No. 15 Davenport.
Berry finished the year with a .468 on-base percentage while leading the team with 33 RBI and 14 doubles.

He also led the league and finished fourth in the nation with seven triples this season. His seven triples ties the school’s single-season record he set last year and boosted him into the all-time lead with 14 career triples in a Roosevelt uniform.

Last week, the Southfield, Michigan native was named a first-team All-GLIAC honoree and followed that up by being named to the All-GLIAC Tournament team. Berry’s 80 hits this season are a program record and he led the team this season with 22 extra-base hits.
